Knight School of Welding offers the following skilled
welding courses:
LEVEL #1 SMAW STICK
Welding (80 Hours) - Students complete the course in 4
weeks attending the day division.
The course covers basic training on techniques and knowledge
about Shielded Metal Arc Welding and also includes the
use of oxyacetylene flame cutting. The program includes
basic blue print reading.
LEVEL #2 GMAW MIG
Welding (80 Hours) - Students complete the course in 4
weeks attending the day division.
The course covers welding in the flat, horizontal and
vertical positions with GMAW & SMAW welding. The program
includes basic blue print reading.
LEVEL #3 GTAW TIG
Welding (80 Hours) - Students complete the course in 4
weeks attending the day division. The course covers
welding of carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. The
program includes basic blue print reading.
LEVEL #4 Combination
Welding (160 Hours) - Students complete the course in 8
weeks attending the day division. Course includes a
combination of Levels 1 & 2.
LEVEL #5
Combination Welding (400
Hours) – Students complete the course in 12 weeks
attending the day division. Course includes a
combination of Levels 1, 2 & 3.
LEVEL #6
(SMAW)
PIPE-Uphill Welding (300 Hours) - The PIPE Welding
Program provides a thorough technical understanding of
pipe welding nomenclature, weld quality, uphill pipe
procedures towards ASME Section IX Code. The goal will
be to develop skills necessary to make high quality
welds on open root mild steel pipe in the 5G, 2G, and 6G
positions. This specific welding trade also involves
welding with the Shielded Metal Arc Process on mild
steel using ER6010 and ER7018 low hydrogen.
The (SMAW) PIPE-Uphill Welding Program is available to
candidates able to successfully pass a 3/8” plate open
root guided bend test. The prerequisite welding & bend
test is $35.

Inspector Training (40 Hours)
LEVEL #8
Test Code (16 Hours)
This program will prepare the qualified welder for the
test code
