general information

Orientation:

Orientation will be held on the first day of all programs and will consist of a review of  various safety rules and procedures.  This will fully educate the students on the wide array of hazards associated with welding.  Orientation is MANDATORY and no student will be permitted to attend a session without first attending orientation.

Liability Release:
In accepting the privilege of entering the Knight School of Welding premises, the student agrees that the Knight School of Welding is to be held absolutely free of all claims for injury that may be sustained by the student.

Tuition:
To be enrolled check, money order or cash is due on registration day.  Financial aid is not available.  Enrollment is limited and spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Certification tests will have an extra cost depending on the code.

Refund Policy:
The Knight School of Welding understands that unanticipated things can happen and we try to work with the student on these matters.  The usual policy is that no refund will be issued if the student starts a program but does not complete it.  However, he will receive a full refund, less 20% for additional programs he may have paid for.

Programs:
Programs are available for people with no or little welding experience (Levels #1 - 4) as well as for experienced welders (Levels #5 - #6).   In addition, special procedure programs such as pipe or tube welding are available.  Call (502) 634-5568 today to discuss your special needs or to schedule a time to visit our school.

Program Times and Durations:
Day programs are from 11am until 5:30pm Tuesday through Friday and run for 4 consecutive weeks per level (except level #4 which is 8 weeks long).  Night programs are from 6pm until 10pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and run for approximately 7 consecutive weeks.

Advanced Programs:
Students may only enter the advanced training program after passing a practical welding test.  Each test costs $35.

Welding Skill Test:
Skill tests are preformed throughout the training.  Each test is prepared and tested according to the codes and regulations of the American Welding Society.
